Profile Information

Hometown:
Hot Springs Village, Arkansas
About Me:
I am the author of ten traditionally published nonfiction books. I often write about forensic science, criminal law and entertaining. I am also a trained forensic artist so I hang with a lot of cops and scientists.

I've started my own publishing company, Primate Press, LLC, and I hope our first title: Love Monkey: A Tail of Desire, Romance and Intrigue will be out before the new year.

Favorite Books:
I don't have an answer. We have about 2,000 volumes in our home and I love all books. Seems I do a lot of research so I am in nonfiction quite a bit. In fiction, I guess my favorite is the Poisonwood Bible.
Favorite TV Shows:
I watch a lot of crime scene dramas because I write on a couple blogs that deal with criminal justice.

What book or books should be made into movies?
I hope that my first fiction will make the grade. I'm still working on it - - wish I could clone myself as I need more time...it's called Going Ape Over Murder.
Favorite movies made from books:
I like old classics -- the type shown on Turner Classic Movies.

But my husband and I do go to the theater every Sunday. It's our "date" and the only time when we can't talk about kids, problems or money. The fact that the drive is on a winding country road only makes it that much better. I am partial to action movies and suspense.

PUBLISH THAT BOOK: How to Write a Nonfiction Book Proposal That Sells

Nowadays, big publishers simply don't read unsolicited material. They depend on agents to muck through the "slush pile" in search of the gems. If you want to get a book published, knowing and using the correct format for a book proposal is paramount.

Nonfiction books -- a market easier to break into than fiction -- are the backbone of publishing. In this workshop, you'll learn what is appropriate… Continue

I Am A Sponge

Hey, All - -

I am hoping that everyone on this site will feel free to give me
instructions on how to create book trailers. I work on an eMac, I used
OS X and have upgraded to Tiger, and I have good software for my web
sites as I use Adobe GoLive CS2 (still learning how to utilize
everything.) Now I know GoLive has some great capabilities for making
"book trailers", which is what I'm intersted in primarily as I just
started my own publishing company, Primate Press, LLC.
