About Me:

John Darling has written and published many short stories, poems, and magazine articles.

His first publication came in May of 1976. A short story entailing the humiliation of welfare mothers appeared in the Journal of Mental Health.

His lone play, Stage Directions, has been produced in the United States, Canada, and most recently at the Soho Theatre in London, England on October 3, 2012.

Most of his publications have been short stories and articles, though he has had some poetry in print.

Many of his short fiction stories have been collected in two books.

On Borrowed Time contains ten mysteries revolving around his anti-hero, Detective Anderson and his friends.

Woman in Black is comprised of mixed genres from hard edged science fiction in Saving Abraham to YA Literature in Jennifer Rising.

Another of his books, tells about how bands and singers were inspired to choose their stage

You're the Who?: A guide to classic band name origins + rock connections!, is a collection of short articles which tell how rock bands and singers chose their stage names while also showing Rock Connections between the performers.

He also co-authored a cookbook with his late grandmother, Loretta Duffy.

Grandma’s Favorite Recipes is a cookbook made up of his late grandmother's favorite recipes which she hand wrote over the course of 7 decades.

His final book is a short, three part, prose play.

The Earthling, tells of a man and his son’s relationship as each one lives in a generation that conflicts with the other.
