- Carey has been writing as long as she can remember. The first two stories she recalls were about kidnapped insects and dancing pumpkins. It's been a few years since those stories were penned. (Thank goodness, no copies remain.)
After writing for her university newspaper, she ran a desktop publishing business and a language school before marrying her husband Brian. She took up the serious pursuit of fiction writing during stolen moments after her first child was born. (She wants to thank him for being a good baby who slept very well.)
In 2011, her first novel, After the Snow Falls was published by Trestle Press.
