- Lyman (Tadd) was born and raised in upstate New York; the Finger Lakes and Lake Ontario were his childhood playground and where his love for sailing began. It seems sailing was a Stuart trait, with father, grandfather, uncles, and cousins all took part in sailing throughout their lives. For the majority of Lyman's life, he worked in the computer science field. In the early 2000s, he decided to live his passion. It is then he began to pursue his captain's license and formed his own sailing company. Now "retired" for the second time, he lives with his wife in Standish, Maine. He is a licensed captain, a certified sailing instructor, and holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from Franklin Pierce University. When he is not sailing on the waters of Casco Bay, he enjoys hiking, recording hikes for AllTrails.com, discovering new outdoor adventures, and reading.
