Did I just Lose my dish off the RV?

 Here is an excerpt from my book.

While I was in Las Vegas I thought I would do a little sightseeing. I
was only one mile from the RV park and had an accident right there while
waiting at a red light. I was struck from behind by a pickup truck and
then pushed into the car in front of me. Good thing I was in a rental car
and not The Wine Cellar RV. The man who struck me said that he just
did not see me. The car rental people didn’t say anything when I got back
with the crunched-up car. They gave me another one and I was on my
way. A few weeks later I had some paperwork delivered to me and they
wanted me to pay $12,000 to repair the car. I called them and reminded
them that the police report stated that I was not at fault. I was hit from
the rear. Sometimes people just don’t read the whole story and try to just
take the easy way out.
When I was traveling along a secluded highway in Oregon, I saw a
huge bird flying around me when I was doing about sixty-five miles an
hour. The bird came directly at me, and next I heard a crash.
